ORAL ORDER :

Issue notice to respondents. Learned A.G.P. waives service for the State. Respective counsel waive service for the respondents.

Mr. Jadhavar, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the validation proceedings in respect of the caste/ tribe claim of the petitioners is pending with the Committee since 2013/ 2015. However, the University is not accepting the examination forms of the petitioners of First Year M.B.B.S./ B.A.M.S. Course. The learned counsel for the University submits that, the petitioners are admitted from the reserved category and as such, it is necessary for them to produce the validity certificates.

It is not disputed that the validation proceedings in respect of the caste/ tribe claim of the petitioners is pending with the Committee. It is for the Committee to decide the proceedings. Of course, the petitioners have to co-operate in expeditious disposal of the said proceedings. 4.
Considering the above, we pass the following order. 5.
The Committee shall decide the validation proceedings in respect of caste/ tribe claim of the petitioners expeditiously and preferably within one year from today. The petitioners shall co-operate in expeditious disposal of the said proceedings.

The respondents College and University shall not refuse to accept the examination forms of the petitioners and shall not refrain the petitioners from prosecuting further studies only on the ground that the validation proceedings are pending. The respondents College and University can take further course of action upon the judgment of the Committee in the validation proceedings.

Writ Petitions accordingly are disposed of. No costs. 8.
