DATE : 20th APRIL, 2023 P.C.:- On instructions, the In-charge Govt. Pleader Mr. Kale informs that the appointment of State Information Commissioner to be appointed under the provisions of Right to Information Act has reached final stage and the notification appointing the said officer will be issued within a period of four weeks from today.

He further states that for the remaining posts after the advertisement was issued on 7.2.2023, applications were received on 8.3.2023. He assures that the entire process of selection and appointment on the post of Information Commissioner shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from today. 3.

Since the statement aforesaid is made on the instructions of the State Government, same is accepted as an undertaking given to the

{2} 948 sr.no..odt Court. Once such appointments are made, we deem it appropriate to permit the petitioner to take out the proceeding for expeditious disposal of the application. Once such application is taken out, the claim of the petitioner be decided expeditiously.

Writ petition is disposed of.
