Order :-

1. The petitioner is objecting to selection process conducted by respondents for recruitment of ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activities) Block Coordinator/ Promoter under the scheme sponsored by the Central Government. Appointment to the post of ASHA is for prescribed tenure and post carries honorarium. Post for which the petitioner claimed to be appointed is not civil post and is in the nature of contractual employment under the scheme. The petitioner was appointed on the post during preceeding three years on contractual basis, however, during continuance of contractual employment her performance was not found satisfactory. Report dated 18-01-2016 tendered by Taluka Medical Officer, Jalna is placed on record, wherein he has recommended not to consider the claim of the petitioner for the

2 WP-3846.16 contractual appointment. Apart from this, there are complaints tendered by co-workers against the petitioner. The decision taken by the employer not to offer contractual appointment to the petitioner does not appear to be erroneous. No interference is called for in exercise of extraordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

Writ petition is devoid of substance, hence, stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
