The petitioner seeks directions against the Respondents to decide his application for rental compensation.

It does not appear that the application has been filed before the Special Land Acquisition Officer. The petitioner may file an application seeking rental compensation with the competent authority. On receipt of the said application, the competent authority shall decide it on its own merits in accordance with law and after hearing all parties concerned expeditiously, preferably within nine (9) months from the date of receipt of the application.

The Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
