Petitioners representations through an Advocate, dated 20.12.2022, 28.07.2023 & 20.09.2023, are addressed to the District Collector. The Petitioners have made certain requests with regard to

973, 978, 979.odt acquisition of lands in the said representation. 2.

The learned AGPs submit that a Writ of Mandamus cannot be issued to the District Administration to respond to a legal notice.

The learned AGP may be right in saying so. However, the grievance of the Petitioners is that they are unable to judge as to what is the fate of their lands whose possession was taken over in 2008. 4.

In view of the above, we direct Respondent No. 5 to respond to the said representations/notice by following the due procedure laid down in law, within a period of 60 days.

Considering the above, these Petitions are disposed off.
