This is an application for condonation of delay of 2960 days in preferring appeal by the original claimant for filing appeal against the judgment and award passed by the Reference Court under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act. The delay has been attempted to be explained in the application. Though the respondents i.e. the State and Acquiring Body have appeared, they have not traversed the grounds. 2.

For the reasons mentioned in the application, the delay is condoned subject to the condition that the appellant/claimant shall not be entitled to claim any interest for the period of delay. The application is accordingly allowed.
