Since the learned Counsel for petitioner Shri. Thigale fairly state that the petition for all material purposes has been rendered infructuous, since the term of the Municipal Council, Tuljapur, has come to an end on 1st January, 2022, the earlier elections, being conducted in the year 2016.

In the wake of the aforesaid development, the question for consideration remains to be only academic. It is trite position of law that the Court shall be slow in determining academic question, when the substantial relief between the parties is not required to be granted and dispute does not require adjudication on it's merits'
