The documents and the affidavit in reply filed by respondent No.2/ original informant are taken on record. 3.

The learned advocates for the applicants submit, on instructions, that they wish to withdraw these applications with a request

*2* 40appln932a1429o19 that the trial in Sessions Case No.158/2018 be expedited. We are also informed that six witnesses have been examined by the prosecution. 4.

In view of the above, both these Criminal Applications are disposed off as withdrawn.

The Trial Court shall expedite Sessions Case No.158/2018 so as to conclude the trial on or before 30.06.2021. The accused are expected to render fullest cooperation. The prosecution shall not seek adjournment on trivial grounds.

Eventually, if the Trial Court concludes that the complaint filed by the informant was frivolous and vexatious, it shall consider the contention of the accused as regards abuse of process of law and pass appropriate orders.

Unless specifically required, the accused may be exempted from remaining present in the Court. However, that would not be a ground for delaying the matter.
