DATE : 15th OCTOBER, 2020 PER COURT :- Present proceeding is filed for giving direction to the trial Court, where the special case, filed under the provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act, is pending against the petitioner. Petitioner prays for giving directions for expeditious disposal of the case. 2.
Both the sides are heard.

In view of nature of allegations, this Court has called report of the Presiding Officer of trial Court. Report shows that presence of witnesses could not be procured, but after that, on the dates like 15-072020, 04-08-2020, 04-09-2020 and 01-10-2020, accused did not present, so there is no progress into the matter. Learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes that the petitioner-accused will co-operate for early decision of the matter.

In view of this undertaking, direction is given to the trial Court to dispose of the case pending before it as early as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of writ of this order. If the petitioner does not co-operate in expeditious disposal of the case, the trial Court may pass further orders. 5.
