The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners submitted applications to al the respondents, seeking rental compensation; however, no cognizance thereof has been taken by them.

The learned A.G.P. accepts notice for respondent Nos. 1 and 3.

There does not appear to be an acknowledgement of the Special Land Acquisition Officer, having received the applications from the petitioners seeking rental compensation. The petitioners may file fresh applications with respondent No.3, seeking rental

wp3888-2017 compensation. On receipt of such applications from the petitioners, the Special land Acquisition Officer/ Competent Authority shall decide those applications on their own merit and in accordance with law after hearing all the parties expeditiously and preferably within nine months from the date of receipt of the applications. With these directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
