The learned AGP submits that the Petitioner has a statutory remedy by approaching the Divisional Commissioner under Section 16 of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act.

Considering the availability of a statutory remedy, this Writ Petition is disposed of so as to enable the Petitioner to avail of the said remedy. Time spent by the Petitioner in this Court from 17.03.2017 till the passing of this order, shall be a good ground for condonation of delay. Consequent to this order, the record and proceedings need not be called for.
