The petitioner's claim of belonging to the 'Thakur' tribe is pending validation before the Committee since 07/01/2005. Earlier, this Court had passed an order on 08/06/2011 in Writ Petition No.6249/2010 filed by the present petitioner, when she was a student. Vide the said order, the claim of the petitioner was to be decided within a period of six months. However, the jurisdiction of the Scrutiny Committee was altered and the petitioner's claim was transferred from the Nasik Region to the Competent Committee for the Nandurbar Division.

The learned A.G.P. submits that, on 24/06/2021, the Committee has received the vigilance report. A notice dated 25/06/2021, has been issued to the petitioner and a copy of the vigilance report has been supplied to her. As soon as her explanation is received, the Committee shall proceed to decide the claim within three months from today. 3.

The learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would submit her explanation within seven days from the date of the receipt of the said notice.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off with a direction that the petitioner shall tender her explanation to the notice and report of the Vigilance Committee within seven days from it's receipt. The petitioner shall, thereafter render fullest co-operation to the Committee and shall not seek an adjournment on unreasonable or trivial grounds. The Committee shall endeavour to decide the pending claim of the petitioner on or before 30/09/2021 and shall not seek an extension of time from this Court. In the event of the petitioner failing to co-operate with the Committee, the latter is at liberty to approach

(3) this Court by filing a civil application for seeking directions against the petitioner.
