By this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner is challenging the communication dated 16-02-2013 issued by the respondent No.2 University and for further direction to respondent No.2 to grant sanction to the pension of the petitioner.

We have heard the learned advocates for the parties. 3.

Learned advocate for petitioner has placed reliance on the judgment and order dated 13-04-2022 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.14846/2019, in order to submit that, in similar circumstances this Court had directed the respondent University to ensure that the pension papers of the petitioner therein are forwarded to the Accountant General.

Learned counsel for respondent No.2 University, in all fairness, does not dispute that the issue is covered and the petitioner is similarly situated as that of the petitioners in Writ Petition No.14846/2019. The learned advocate, on instructions, states that the pension papers of the petitioner shall be forwarded to the competent authority on or before 30th June, 2022. The statement so made is accepted. In that view of the matter, the petition is disposed of in the following terms: (i) The Registrar of respondent No.2 University shall ensure that pension papers of the petitioner are prepared and forwarded to the Accountant General on or before 30th June, 2022. (ii) The competent authority from the office of Accountant General shall process the pension papers of petitioner and ensure that the arrears of pension as well as payment of regular monthly pension commences on or before 31st August, 2022.
