It is the contention of the learned Counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner was convicted for the offence punishable under Section 302 of IPC and sentenced to undergo life imprisonment vide order dated 13.01.2003 passed by Sessions Judge, Pune. It is claimed that the petitioner has completed more than 14 years actual imprisonment and he is entitled for the benefit of the notification dated 23rd April, 2012 and the provisions of the Prisons (Bombay Furlough and

391.15crwp Parole) Rules, 1959.

We direct the respondents to consider the prayer of the petitioner and take suitable decision, after verifying record of the petitioner and considering the order passed by the Supreme Court dated 23rd July, 2015 in Writ Petition (CRL.) No.48 OF 2014 (Union of India vs. V. Sriharan @ Murugan and ors.) modifying the earlier interim order dated 9th July, 2014, as expeditiously as possible and preferably, within four weeks from today.

Petition stands disposed of on above terms.
