This Court has already issued directions in respect of expeditious disposal of reference application seeking redetermination of amount of compensation under section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act.

It is informed that the appeal challenging the decision in LAR No.110 of 1994, decided by the Civil Judge, Senior Division, Osmanabad on 22.03.1995, which is the basis for tendering the application under section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act has already been decided on 28.10.2015. In this view of the matter, there is no impediment for the Collector to take decision on the application tendered by the petitioner under section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act. It would be open for the Collector to

(2) consider the issue of limitation as regards the application tendered by the petitioner under section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, keeping the issue open for consideration. 3.
The Collector is directed to decide the application tendered by the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible preferably within six months from the date of filing of reference application. 4.
With the above directions, writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
