This is an application for suspension of sentence and granting bail to the applicant.

The applicant is sentenced to suffer simple imprisonment for six months and compensation of Rs.1,60,000/- under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act by the judgment dated 13th February, 2015 passed by learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Ahmednagar in Summary Criminal Case No.1687 of 2013. The said order is confirmed by the learned Sessions Court, Ahmednagar. The learned counsel for applicant submits that the applicant is arrested on 13th March, 2024. The applicant has roots in the society. He will not flee away from the trial. The trial will take long period. It is lastly prayed to allow the application.

24 APPLN.1214.2024.odt Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the applicant is directed to deposit Rs.1,00,000/- in this Court within two weeks from today.

Subject to deposit Rs.1,00,000/- by the applicant in this Court within two weeks from today, during pendency of the criminal revision application, the execution of sentence awarded to the applicant is suspended and the applicant be released on bail on executing P. R. bond of Rs.50,000/- with one surety of the like amount. The bail bond shall be furnished before the Trial Court. The criminal application is disposed of.
