Heard. Notice to the Respondents. The learned A.G.P. waives notice for Respondent Nos.1, 2 and 4. Mr. Jadhav, learned counsel waives notice for Respondent No.3.

It is submitted that the validation proceeding in respect of the caste claim of the Petitioner is pending with the Scrutiny Committee since September 2015. Respondent Nos.2 and 3 are not accepting the examination form of the Petitioner only on the ground that validation proceedings are pending.

In light of that, we pass following order:

Respondent No.4 - Scrutiny Committee

shall decide the caste claim in respect of the Petitioner expeditiously, preferably within the period of ONE YEAR. The Petitioner shall cooperate with the Scrutiny Committee in expeditious disposal of the said proceedings. The Petitioner shall appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 11th April 2016.

If the Petitioner is otherwise eligible, then Respondent Nos. 2 and 3 shall not refuse to accept examination form of the Petitioner nor shall refrain the Petitioner from prosecuting further studies only on the ground that validation proceedings are pending.

The Writ Petition disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
