We have considered the strenuous submissions of learned Advocate Mr. Patil on behalf of the Petitioner and have perused the Petition paper book with his assistance. 2.

It is obvious that it is a civil dispute between the Petitioner and certain individuals, including a person who is presently the Sarpanch. The Petitioner has a remedy of approaching the Civil Court. Nevertheless, the Petitioner has already approached the District Collector who has instructed the Tahsildar, Latur by

- 2 - wp3438.24.odt communication dated 5th February, 2024, to cause an inspection, submit a report and proceed in accordance with the law. 3.

The learned AGP submits that the Collector has already initiated steps and this Petition need not be entertained. 4.

Considering the above and the fact that the District Collector has already initiated steps, the revenue authorities would act in accordance with law. This Petition is not being entertained since it is a civil dispute between the parties. In the event, the Petitioner desires to approach the appropriate authority on account of purported disgraceful conduct of the Sarpanch, he would be at liberty, subject to the provisions of Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act.

In view of the above, the Writ Petition stands disposed off.
