Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a student of Nursing course at

wp3812.19 -2Government Medical College, Latur. The petitioner submitted her caste claim for validation to the competent Scrutiny Committee. The Scrutiny Committee accepted the claim for validation on 30th December, 2017. Till date of filing of the petition, the claim is pending before the Committee and the petitioner is faced with an order dated 4th March, 2019 issued by respondent no.3, whereby she is apprehending cancellation of admission.

Considering the aforesaid facts, the petition is disposed of at the admission stage with direction to respondent no.2 Scrutiny Committee to decide the claim within four weeks from the date of receipt of this order. Respondent no.3 is directed to maintain status quo in respect of admission of the petitioner as on today. We further make it clear, the petitioner to inform the decision of the Scrutiny Committee to respondent no.3 as and when respondent no.2 Committee decides the claim. On decision of the Committee, respondent no.3 is at liberty to take appropriate steps in view of the decision of the Committee.
