This application is for condonation of delay caused in filing appeal for enhancement in the compensation awarded by the learned Reference Court under section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act. 02.

This application is vehemently opposed by the learned Advocate for the respondent No.3 and learned AGP for the respondentState. 03.

For the reasons stated in the application and since the applicant happens to be a claimant, who lost their land in acquisition, this Court is inclined to allow this application. Hence, this Civil Application is allowed. Delay is condoned It is made clear that the claimants shall not be entitled to receive interest for the delayed period, in case the amount of compensation is enhanced.
