Petitioner No.1 and Petitioner No.2 are father and son duo. The father is 53 years of age and the son is 23 years of age. Petitioner No.1 is in service with Respondent No.3 and Petitioner No.2 is in private service.

The learned AGP submits that the father's claim of belonging to Thakur Scheduled Tribe category was rejected on 31st July, 2014 on account of territorial jurisdiction. Yet, the father waited for four years and obtained a fresh Tribe certificate in Form C on 15th June, 2018. Thereafter, he tendered an online proposal for seeking validation on 4th October, 2021 after three and half years. He, therefore, submits that considering that the students cases are now being taken up by the various committees and there are several orders of the High Court 58.wp3389.24.odt

setting out timelines for decision on the students claims, the Committee will require at least six months to decide the claims of both the Petitioners. Vigilance inquiries are still pending. 3.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioners submits that there are 6 validity holders from the paternal side and one of them has received a validity certificate under the orders of the High Court, dated 10th September, 2009 in Writ Petition No. 2016 of 2007 (Prakash s/o Rambhau Thakur Vs. The State of Maharashtra and others). 4.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off. Let the Committee deal with the pending proposals of the Petitioners and decide the same on or before 30th September, 2024.
