Heard the learned advocate for the petitioner/s and the learned advocate Mr. P.D. Surywanshi who appears for the respondent No.2 - Education Officer (Primary) Zilla Parishad, Beed. The petitioners are seeking correction of the school record so as to change the name of the caste. The proposals forwarded by the respondent No.3 - Headmaster of the school dated 08.02.2023 and 07.02.2023 respectively are pending with the respondent No. 2 - Education Officer (Exhibit-A). 2.

We dispose of the writ petitions by directing the respondent No.2 to pass appropriate order and take appropriate steps on the proposals in accordance with the law as laid down in the matter of Janabai d/o. Himmatrao Thakur Vs. State of Maharashtra and Ors.; 2019 (6) Mh.L.J.

769. The decision shall be taken as expeditiously as possible and in any case within four weeks.
