Mr. Dande, the learned AGP appearing for the applicants submit that the Special Land Acquisition Officer has awarded compensation @ Rs.530/- per Are, whereas the Reference Court has enhanced the compensation to Rs.3742/- per Are. According to Mr. Dande, the compensation enhanced by the reference court is exorbitant and not in consonance with the evidence on record and therefore, he prayed to stay the execution and operation of the impugned Award. 2.

In view of the above, the execution and operation of the award under challenge is stayed subject to condition that the applicant/ appellant shall deposit the entire amount of compensation together with interest within a period of 12 weeks. 3.

Civil application disposed of.
