By the present petition, the petitioner prays for compassionate appointment. The petitioner's father died in harness on 18.11.2009. An application was made for grant of compassionate appointment, which is turned down by letter dated 29.05.2014 on the ground that the application for compassionate appointment was not submitted within stipulated period of one year. Even though application for compassionate appointment been turned down on 29.05.2014, the petitioner has filed present petition on 18.03.2021.

Mr. Gujar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner relies upon application dated 22.01.2010 allegedly submitted by the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment, but he fairly admits that the office copy of the application does not bear

Thus, the petitioner is unable to prove before us that such an application was indeed submitted on 22.01.2010. On account of application for compassionate ground not being filed within the stipulated period of one year, we do not find that any error is committed by the respondents in turning down the application for compassionate appointment. Even otherwise there is inordinate delay and laches in filing the petition. We, therefore, dismiss the petition, without any orders as to costs. [SANDEEP V. MARNE, J.] [MANGESH S.
