The petitioner seeks 6% interest on delayed payment of rental compensation.

2] Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned AGP for respondents 1 to 3.

3] For claiming 6% interest on delayed payment of rental compensation the petitioner has to file application with the SLAO/competent authority.

4] The petitioner may file application claiming 6% interest on delayed payment of rental compensation before the competent authority. The competent authority shall after hearing all the parties concerned, decide said application of the petitioner expeditiously preferably within 6 months from the date of appearance of all the parties.
