This is a petition by the father seeking a writ of habeas corpus stating that after leaving the home for appearing for the examination on 13-02-2024, she has been missing. 2.

On the last date, the learned APP and the learned advocate for the respondent no. 4 had submitted pursuant to the enquiry conducted by the Investigating Officer about the petitioner's daughter being major and having solemnized marriage with the respondent no. 4.

In order to ensure that the petitioner's daughter has not been wrongfully confined, we had directed her to remain present before us today. By taking her in confidence, we have interacted with her in

2 Cri. W.P. 558 / 2024 the chambers. She states that she has been married to the respondent no. 4 and has been leading a happy marital life. She expressly states that she does not have any force or coercion by anybody. She tells her date of birth to be 27-10-2004.

Since the petitioner's daughter is major and has been cohabiting with the respondent no. 4 after solemnizing marriage of her own volition, we dispose of the petition having let her go wherever she wants as per her wish.
