This is a joint application by the informant and the accused persons, the informant being the wife of the accused applicant no. 1, for quashment of Crime no. 83 of 2023 registered with Harsool Police Station, Harsool, District Aurangabad for the offences punishable under Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act and Sections 498-A, 323, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and the consequent chargesheet no. 76 of 2023 and R.C.C. No. 2080 of 2023 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Aurangabad.

It has been expressly mentioned that post registration of the crime, there has been an amicable settlement and the couple has resumed cohabitation and the matrimonial ties.

No public law element can be involved, if the couple has decided to lead a happy married life, in our considered view this itself would a sufficient ground to consider the request. 5.

The application is allowed.

Crime no. 83 of 2023 registered with Harsool Police Station, Harsool, District Aurangabad for the offences punishable under Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act and Sections 498-A, 323, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and the consequent chargesheet no. 76 of 2023 and R.C.C.
