By consent of the parties, all the Civil Applications, seeking intervention ,are allowed.

The learned AGP places on record a copy of the communication dated 12.08.2024, addressed by the Under Secretary, Department of Revenue and Forest, Government of Maharashtra, informing the learned AGP that an amendment has been proposed to the Maharashtra Agricultural Lands (Ceiling on Holdings) Act, 1961. The said communication is marked as 'X' for identification.

The learned Advocates for the Petitioners submit that these Petitions may be disposed off in view of the statement 'X', with a request that the amendment may be carried out at the earliest. 4.

In view of the above, these Writ Petitions are disposed off, on instructions. The proposed amendment may be introduced within a period of 60 days. If the Model Code of Conduct is introduced, we direct that it would not be an impediment for completing the procedure with regard to the amendment.
