It is well settled that the Court should not entertain a Public Litigation Interest (PIL) is service matters. The present Petition before us is a Writ Petition seeking a direction to conduct an enquiry against a person who has retired on 30th March, 2024, as regards the allegation that he has been mischievously promoted. The said person concerned has not been arrayed as a Respondent. The Petitioner claims to be a reporter and the President of 'Daksh Patrakar Sangh'. 2.

The Deputy Secretary, Government of Maharashtra has addressed a letter to the Commissioner/Director, Municipal Administration on 8th February, 2024 calling upon it to look in to the complaint filed by the Petitioner. This Petition is filed on 13th March, 2024.

We do not find any reason to exercise our Writ jurisdiction and issue a Writ of Mandamus in such circumstances. 4.
