In March, 2020, the Sub-Divisional Officer passed the order rejecting the application of the petitioner for issuance of the caste certificate. 2.

Mr.Phatale, learned Counsel for the petitioner, submits that urgency has arisen as a letter has been issued by the Institution.

The petitioner has a remedy of appeal. The petitioner could have availed the remedy of appeal.

7-WPst.10116-2020 Even though this Writ Petition is filed in March, 2020, it was not circulated since then and it came to be circulated only in August, 2020. The petitioner ought to have been diligent.

In view of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to avail the remedy of appeal before the Scrutiny Committee. Considering the urgency, the Committee shall decide the appeal filed by the petitioner, if filed, within a period of four weeks from the date of its filing. The petitioner shall co-operate in disposal of the appeal.

The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
