Order :-

1. Mr. Ambetkar, learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner has filed applications/representations dated 24-02-2016 and 08-03-2016 to the Collector, Ahmednagar requesting him not to issue wholesale liquor license to anybody in Ahmednagar District as resolution to that effect had been passed by more than 550 Gram Panchayats in said District. There should be total prohibition. According to the learned counsel, the Collector, Ahmednagar has not taken decision on said applications/representations. 2.

We have heard learned Assistant Government Pleader. 3.

Blanket direction as sought by the petitioner cannot be given to the authority to decide such representations or applications. The policy of the State Government is to be implemented by the authorities. In

2 WP-3612.16 case, some cases of issuance of license for liquor is under consideration with the Collector, the petitioner may raise specific objection to the same in accordance with law and as may be permissible in law and said objection would be dealt with by the authorities in appropriate manner considering the provisions of the Statute. 4.
