It appears that, the petitioner is seeking action against the respondent nos.2 and 3 under the provisions of Contempt of Court Act for not following the directions given by this Court vide order dated 22nd August, 2022 whereby the D.S.L.R. was directed to dispose the proceedings within a period of four months.

The learned counsel for petitioner submits that, instead 1/2

52-CP-247-2023 of disposing of the proceedings within the stipulated period the respondent no.2 vide order dated 19th December, 2022, against asked for fresh proposal from Sub-ordinate Officers. However, it also appears that certain directions are also given by the respondent no.2 to collect fresh information in respect of the matter and all the interested persons are given opportunity of hearing and also of producing documentary evidence.

Thus, it appears that respondent no.2 is still monitoring the entire process for disposal of the proceedings as directed by this Court. Therefore, prima-facie, I do not find any contemptuous act on the part of respondent no.2 at this juncture. Hence, this Petition at this stage stands dismissed. 5.

The respondent no.2 is therefore directed to dispose the proceeding as directed by this Court within a reasonable time. [ SANDIPKUMAR C. MORE ] JUDGE Pooja K.
