The petitioner, who has been working as an ambulance driver through a contractor and engaged by respondent No. 5, is coming with several prayers including that of regularization, which has been consistently refused by this Court in the matter of several other similarly placed ambulance drivers and which order has been confirmed up to the Supreme Court.

The learned advocate for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that irrespective of the prayers claiming variety of reliefs, the petitioner would be satisfied and seeks only salary at the minimum of the pay scale receivable by ambulance driver on the regular establishment, as is being done by this Court in similarly placed individual's matters.

The learned AGP concedes the fact that indeed such contractual ambulance drivers have been directed to be paid minimum of the scale which is being paid to the regular ambulance driver.

In light of above, we dispose of the writ petition directing respondents to pay to the petitioner minimum of the scale of which ambulance drivers on the regular establishment are being paid, from the date of the petition.
