The applicants have been convicted for the offences punishable under Sections 304 Part I and 364 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for ten years and to pay fine of Rs.25,000/- and Rs.10,000/- each respectively, in default to suffer rigorous imprisonment for one year. They have further been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for one year. 1 / 2

The amount of fine has been deposited. The applicants were on bail during the pendency of trial. Considering the quantum of sentence imposed and the fact that the appeal is not likely to be heard in near future, the execution of substantive sentence of imprisonment to stand suspended pending the appeal. The applicants be released on executing P.R. bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand) each with surety in the like amount each.
