The petitioner seeks permission to terminate the pregnancy. The petitioner was referred to the Expert Committee at Government Medical College and Hospital at Aurangabd. The Expert Committee has examined the petitioner and submitted the report. Relevant part of the report reads thus :

17. Recommended Medical termination of pregnancy with due maternal risk. Surgical intervention & blood transfusion may be required. The risk involved in the said procedure is explained to the patient & her relatives.

The Expert Committee has recommended medical termination of pregnancy with surgical risk. It has observed that surgical intervention and blood transfusion may be required. The risk involved in the said procedure is explained to the petitioner and her relatives. The learned counsel submits that the risk involved in medical termination of the pregnancy is explained to the petitioner and she wants to proceed further with the termination of the pregnancy.

In the light of the report of the Expert Committee the petitioner is permitted to terminate the pregnancy at the Government recognized center.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
