The father of the petitioner, who was a permanent class IV employee with respondent No.4 Municipal Council, Amalner, passed away while in employment, on 30.6.2012, leaving behind a widow and three sons. The petitioner, eldest son, applied for compassionate appointment on 7.5.2014, which was delayed by 11 months. The District Collector has forwarded the proposal on 5.10.2019 to respondent No.2, the Commissioner of Municipal Administration for condonation of delay. The same is still pending. Reliance is placed on the Government Resolutions dated 20.5.2015 and 21.9.2017. 2.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. 3.

We direct respondent No.2 to consider the proposal dated 5.10.2019, if received and if not yet decided, on it's own merits and preferably on or before 30.12.2022.
