The Petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that though the Respondents have paid all retiral benefits to the Petitioners, they have not paid unpaid wages/ salary or backwages.

The learned Advocate for Respondent No.1 submits that the entire retiral benefits have been paid to the Petitioners. This Court, by judgment dated 28.04.2016, had directed the MSRTC to pay the retiral benefits of the deceased employee to his widow, namely, Meenabai Shamrao Gangakhedkar, inclusive of gratuity to be calculated on 18 years of service put in by the deceased along with 3% interest from 18.02.1988.

*2* 912cp427o17 There is no dispute that these amounts have been paid. However, this Court had never directed the payment of backwages or any other amounts towards wages. The amount of Rs.50,000/- already withdrawn by the deceased from this Court was to be adjusted against the retiral benefits.

Considering the above, I do not find that there is any direction issued by this Court which is ignored or not complied with by the Respondents. This Contempt Petition being devoid of merit is, therefore, dismissed.
