Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner.

He states that the petitioner was respondent no.6 in the original Writ Petition and this Court had held that respondent no.6 would be entitled to salary for the period he has worked as Principal. He submits that the salary for the said period is not yet paid. 2.

The Writ Petition was filed challenging the continuation given to the present petitioner to work

2 2-WP-304 as Principal in the respondent-College. We had upheld the said contention and set aside the continuation of the petitioner as Principal and had negatived the prayer of the petitioner in the Writ Petition, to the extent that respondent no.6 i.e. present petitioner would not be entitled for the salary. There was no direction in positive nature as against any authority. In case the present petitioner is not paid salary, he may redress his grievance in appropriate proceedings. However, it cannot give rise to contempt.

The Contempt Petition stands disposed of.

No costs.
