Heard learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner.

It is the submission of the petitioner that his claim for validation of social status as a candidate belonging to "Koli Mahadev" - Scheduled Tribe is submitted to the Committee on 11th September, 2014 and the same is pending till date. It is submitted that the petitioner is served with a notice/order dated 8th March, 2019, whereby he is informed to submit validity certificate within one week or to face the consequence, such as stoppage of salary.

On the backdrop of aforesaid facts, the petitioner prays for directions to the Committee to decide his claim expeditiously. The petitioner also prays for protection of his services and salary. 4.
Having regard to the aforesaid facts, the petition is disposed of with directions to respondent no.2 Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste validation claim of the petitioner within a period of nine months from today. Respondent no.3 is directed to maintain status quo in respect of the services of the petitioner and his salary benefits till the decision of the Committee.

Needless to state that the petitioner to inform the decision of the Committee to respondent no.3 as and when the Committee decides his claim and on decision of the Committee respondent no.3 is at liberty to take appropriate steps.
