The Headmaster of the School has received a communication from the Education Officer dated 26th September, 2019 listing out 10 deficiencies in the proposal of the Petitioner, seeking a correction in his social status as "Maratha" instead of "Maratha Kunbi". 2.

In so far as the objection of the Education Officer, that an application cannot be considered under Rule 26.4 of the Secondary School Code, it is now settled that though a candidate has left the school, a correction in an appropriate case can be carried out. 3.

In view of the above, this Petition is disposed off with liberty to the school to forward a fresh proposal alongwith all

The Education Officer would consider the proposal strictly as per the Rules and in the backdrop of the judgment delivered by the learned Full Bench of this Court in Janabai d/o Himmatrao Thakur Vs.
