The petitioner has putforth prayer clauses (B), (C) and (D), which read as under :

(B) That this Hon'ble Court may please to issue writ of mandamus, or any other appropriate writ, order or directions in the nature of writ of mandamus directing the Respondents No. 3 and 4 to decide the representation filed by the petitioner dated 10.08.2021, 28.02.2022 in the interest of justice and in addition to it, the name of the petitioner and his family members may be added ration card list.

(C) That this Hon'ble Court may please to pass necessary writ order or direction in like nature and direct respondent No. 5 to supply ration to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible.

(D) Pending hearing and final disposal of this instant writ petition, the respondent No. 3 to 5 may kindly be directed to make arrangement for supplying ration to the petitioner."

Issue notice to respondent Nos. 1 to 4.

The learned Standing Counsel waives service of notice on behalf of respondent No.1.

The learned AGP waives service of notice on behalf of respondent Nos. 2 to 4.

Since respondent No. 5 is a formal party, the petitioner seeks leave to delete him. Deletion is permitted. 6.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off, with a direction to respondent No. 4 to decide the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.02.2022.

We make it clear that we have not expressed any opinion about the contents of the representation. Respondent No. 4 shall deal with the same, in accordance with the Rules, Regulation and policies applicable, and take a decision, as expeditiously as possible and in any case, on or before 30th August, 2022.
