The petitioner prays for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus in the light of his FIR No. 0042 of 2021 dated 10-02-2021, lodged with the Vimantal Police Station, District Nanded, stating therein that one Mr. Dinesh Prakash Gaikwad, aged about 19 years, resident of Shahapur has kidnapped the wife of the petitioner, namely Savita @ Chhakuli, on 14-12-2020. Despite searching for her till 10-02-2021, she was not found.

Since we find that the FIR has already been registered, we direct the S.H.O. of the Vimantal Police Station, District Nanded to carry out extensive investigation with regard to the said FIR. The petitioner shall tender the photographs of his wife to enable the police to take aid of the print and electronic media for soliciting

9-CrWP-461-21.odt information from the public at large, with regard to the whereabouts of the missing wife of the petitioner. 3.

In future, if the petitioner has any grievances as regards the investigation in the FIR, he would be at liberty to take recourse to the remedy as may be permissible in law. 4.
