The 33 petitioners are before this Court with prayer clauses C, D, E and F as under:- "C) By issuing writ of mandamus or any other writ, order or directions in the nature of writ of mandamus, the respondents may please be directed to grant benefit of revised pay-scale meant for Laboratory Assistant in the pay scale of Rs.4000-6000 w.e.f. 1.1.1996.

D) By issuing writ of mandamus or any other writ, order or directions, in the nature of writ of mandamus, the respondents may please be directed to pay the petitioners on the basis of corrected pay scale, within three months.

E) The respondents may please be directed to pay monitory benefits of 6th and 7th pay commission to the petitioners by issuing writ of mandamus,

*2* orders or directions in the nature of writ of mandamus.

F) Pending the hearing and final disposal of the writ petition, the respondents may please be directed to deposit difference of arrears of wages as per the above said scale, in this Hon'ble High Court, within stipulated period." 2.

It is undisputed that these petitioners have a remedy of approaching the Grievance Redressal Committee under Section 79 of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016. Nevertheless, these petitioners can address respondent No.3/ Joint Director, High Education at Aurangabad, by setting forth their individual grievances. The Joint Director of Higher Education can decide their grievances.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off.

The petitioners are at liberty either to approach the Grievance Redressal Committee or prefer individual representations to the Joint Director of Higher Education, Aurangabad. In either of the remedies chosen by the petitioners, the concerned authorities would consider the grievances of the petitioners after taking into account the response of all stakeholders and especially the affiliated colleges concerned and

*3* arrive at a decision as expeditiously as possible and in any case, on or before 30.12.2022.
