The petitioner is seeking correction of the school record. 2.

We have heard both the sides.

It appears that the respondent - Headmaster with an endorsement about petitioner having left the school and the recommendation cannot be made, still seems to have forwarded a copy thereof to the Education Officer (Secondary) when the correction is to be made in the primary school record.

Learned advocate for respondent No.2 - Education Officer 1/2

1026.WP.4057.24.odt (primary) submits that the proposal will be dealt with in accordance with law if it is forwarded to him by the Headmaster. 5.

We dispose of the writ petition by directing respondent No.3 to forward the proposal to respondent No.2 - Education Officer (primary) within one week.

The Education Officer (Primary) shall thereafter consider the proposal on its own merits and in the light of the observations in the matter of Janabai d/o. Himmatrao Thakur Vs. State of Maharashtra and Ors.; 2019 (6) Mh.L.J. 769, as expeditiously as possible and in any case within six weeks thereafter.
