We have heard Mr. Sabnis, the learned advocate for the petitioner, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for respondent Nos. 1 and 2 and Mr. Narwadkar, learned advocate for the respondent No. 3.

The grievance of the petitioner is that, only because validity certificate is not submitted, the petitioner's candidature for admission from O.B.C. category is negated. 3.

The last date for admission was 05th April, 2021. Admittedly, the validation proceeding before the Committee is pending. The petitioner was required to submit validity certificate upon completion of first round and before start of second round, if the petitioner intended to take benefit of

2 wp 5936.21 reservation.

As the last date for admission is over, now no further orders can be passed.

We hereby clarify that, if last date for giving admission is extended, then naturally the petitioner would be considered for admission from general category as per the merit and preferences given on the available seats.

The Scrutiny Committee shall decide the validation proceeding in respect of caste claim of the petitioner expeditiously and preferably within a period of six (06) months from the date of appearance of the petitioner. The petitioner shall appear before the Committee on 26th April, 2021. 7.

In the light of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
