The contention of the petitioner is that the proposal for opening additional division is pending with the Government. The Education Officer has recommended the said proposal and forwarded it to the Deputy Director of Education. The Deputy Director of Education, in turn, has recommended and forwarded it to the Director of Education. The Director of Education has to forward it to the Government and the Government has to take decision upon it.

We have heard the learned A.G.P. and the

wp4518-2017 learned counsel for respondent No. 3.

In case the proposal submitted by the petitioner is still pending with the Director of Education, then the Director of Education shall forward it to respondent No.1, expeditiously and preferably within three weeks. Respondent No.1, on receipt of the said proposal, shall take decision thereon by end of May, 2017.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
