Mr.Taur, learned advocate for petitioner submits that in the year 2008 application was filed by the petitioner for regularisation with the Tahsildar. Report was also called by the Tahsildar from the Talathi. The Talathi had submitted report also, however no order is passed by the Tahsildar. The learned Addl.Govt.Pleader appears for the respondents and submits that the authority to decide application for regularisation is the Collector.

2] The petitioner may file application with the Collector seeking regularisation. The petitioner may produce on record the earlier application filed and the report submitted by the Talathi. The Tahsildar shall on receipt of the application after following proper procedure shall decide the said application on its own merits in accordance with law and procedure expeditiously preferably within 6 months from the date of filing of application.
