Mr. Bade Patil, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was entitled for appointment on compassionate ground in the year 1998-99. During the course of employment the father of the petitioner died in the year 1998.
The petitioner was making application and representations for issuance of appointment order, but no steps are taken. There is total inaction on the part of the respondents.

Today, the petitioner has crossed 48 years of age. As such, he cannot be given appointment. The very purpose of compassionate appointment does not survive.

Writ Petition, as such, is disposed of. No costs.
