PER COURT:- The DRAT at Chennai in Appeal Nos. 14 and 15 of 2018, while considering the issue of grant of interim protection in favour of the petitioners directed the petitioners to deposit Rs. 26 Lakhs with the Registrar of DRAT, Mumbai within a period of 4 weeks from the date of order i.e. 26.3.2018.
2] The petitioners submit that the amount of Rs. 26 Lakhs has been deposited by the petitioners with the Registrar of DRAT Mumbai and as such, the condition put up by the Appellate Authority has been satisfied. The delay occurred in compliance of the directions, for the reasons canvassed by the petitioners and after hearing the arguments of learned counsel for the respondents, stands condoned. 3] The interim relief granted by the Appellate Authority shall continue to operate. The Appellate Authority shall decide both the appeals on its own merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and preferably within six months from today.
