After hearing learned advocates for the parties, it appears that the petitioners, though had submitted nominations on 7th April, 2015, yet, as required, on the date of filing of nomination, caste certificates had not been submitted to the scrutiny committee and it was subsequently submitted and accordingly a receipt was sought to be produced.

According to respondents, the requirement is that on or before the date of submission of nomination, caste certificate is required to be submitted for verification and undertaking is required to be filed accordingly. This position is not disputed by

In this case, since the requirement is subsequently tried to be fulfilled, no fault can be found with the rejection of the nomination of the petitioners. Writ petition, as such, stands rejected.
